Bryan Stevenson, a Harvard-educated activist lawyer, seeks justice for wrongly-convicted prisoners on death row. His
memoir, Just Mercy, tells the stories of these men and their families – and makes a compelling case for mercy.
Stevenson is the founder and Executive Director of the Equal Justice Initiative, a nonprofit that provides legal representation
to indigent defendants and prisoners who have been denied fair and just treatment in the legal system. He is also in the
clinical faculty at New York University School of Law.
Squirrel Hill’s local independent bookstore Classic Lines Books & More will be selling copies of Stevenson’s books before
and after his lecture.
